DemoBox

DemoBox is a convenient tool for creating interactive demonstrations of modifications, originally developed for the blanketcon 23 event. Its operation is based on the plasmid library, which is used in nuceleoid games and ensures safe management of virtual worlds. Thanks to this, users can test mods in survival mode without worrying about damaging anything in the main world.

How to Use

To create a demo version using DemoBox, first build the required structure and save it using a structure block. This structure will appear in demonstration worlds centered at coordinates 0, 0.

After that, you can execute the command /demobox open <structure> to enter the demonstration world. You can return back using the command /demobox leave or by using the /game command from the plasmid library.

The open command requires permission level 2 or access rights to the demobox.open node, since it allows creating dimensions with arbitrary structures, which could potentially cause problems. The recommended way to provide players with access to demo versions is by using signs with click events.

Additionally, the open command supports specifying a spawn position for players and a function that can be executed during setup if more complex scenarios need to be implemented.
