Difficulty Patch

A Minecraft patch mod that fixes a rare bug affecting difficulty settings in modpacks. The issue occurs when certain mods load new dimensions before the world fully loads on the client side. In such cases, the world's difficulty can be overridden by settings from the client's options.txt file, resulting in incorrect difficulty levels.

A classic example: placing ChickenChunks' chunk loader in GalactiCraft's Mars dimension can trigger this error. The mod solves the problem by retrieving correct difficulty settings from the Overworld dimension on the integrated server, which always loads first.
