Dragon Mount Datapack 2.0 - Tame a Dragon!
This datapack opens up an amazing opportunity for you - to hatch tamed dragons from eggs that you can ride! You can search for eggs of different dragon species throughout the Minecraft world - they are hidden in loot chests in various biomes and dimensions.
How to Hatch a Dragon
The hatching process is quite simple: find an egg and place it on the ground. An alternative method is to use an Ender Dragon egg and throw an Eye of Ender on it to activate incubation mode. After approximately 30 minutes, a small dragon will emerge from the egg, ready to become your faithful companion.
Control and Care
After hatching, simply put a saddle on the dragon. The controls are intuitive: look up - the dragon ascends, look down - it descends, and the WASD keys control horizontal movement. To restore your pet's health, throw any type of meat at it. If health is full, the dragon will refuse to eat.
Dragon Varieties
The datapack features 7 unique dragon species, each with its own habitat:
Overworld
Ice Dragon - eggs in snowy villages
Aether Dragon - eggs in snowy villages
Moonlight Dragon - eggs in plains villages, dungeons and strongholds
Forest Dragon - eggs in taiga villages and jungle temples
End
Ender Dragon - eggs in End cities and strongholds
Enchant Dragon - eggs in End cities
Nether
Fire Dragon - eggs in bastions and fortresses
Special Abilities
Some dragons possess unique abilities. For example, the fire dragon is immune to fire, and the ice dragon can turn water into ice simply by walking on it!
Commands
Summon a dragon: /function mcdragon:summon/DragonType
Get all available dragon eggs: /function mcdragon:give_dragoneggs
Installation
Important for version 1.19.4: The datapack requires version 1.20 features to work. Make sure you enable the 1.20 update datapack before creating the world.
