Drawers & Bits

This addon is designed for the Chisels & Bits mod by AlgorithmX2 and Storage Drawers by jaquadro. The modification introduces specialized containers and enhanced bit handling.

IMPORTANT: Compatibility depends on the Storage Drawers version, so errors may occur during updates. Issues will be fixed promptly upon discovery.

Bit Drawer Features

Bit Drawer functions similarly to compact storage, automatically converting bits into complete blocks and vice versa. It can only store blocks that can be broken down into bits. Otherwise, it operates as a standard drawer: integrates into controller networks, supports upgrades, and content locking.

Please note: Since one block consists of 4096 bits, there are no issues with default settings. However, increasing drawer capacity or through configuration modifications may reach the storage maximum limit (8191 stacks of 64 blocks).

Special Interactions

• Bags: Right-clicking with a bag allows depositing all matching items into the drawer. Compatible with bit bags and other modifications supporting Forge Capability. For bit bags, precise targeting of the bit slot isn't required - works across the entire front surface.
• Left-clicking with a bit bag can extract bits: normal click fills one slot, holding Shift - all available bits.
• Design templates: Left-clicking the bit slot creates a block according to the description (ignoring original materials), with Shift - full stack.
• Right-clicking the custom slot (bottom right) sets the design for the special reserve block returned through this slot.
• Chiseled blocks: Left-clicking slots works similarly to designs, allowing retrieval of the reserve block in formed state.
• To insert ready chiseled blocks via right-click, exact material matching and sufficient storage space are required.

Bit Drawer Controller

Bit Drawer Controller represents an enhanced Drawer Controller with new functions for bit operations, while maintaining compatibility with the rest of the storage system.

Controller Special Operations

• Bags: Right-click deposits all contents of compatible bags into the storage network.
• Left-clicking with a bit bag directs available bits from all connected cells into it.
• Designs and chiseled blocks: Left-click returns the corresponding block, right-click allows placing the reserve chiseled material block into any compatible cell within the network.
• Settings: Double right-clicking can be configured for bulk extraction of contents from compatible bags into the network. Configuration includes options to disable this behavior and enable automatic assessment of matching compartments and block transfer capability.

Bulk method options are disabled by default to prevent accidental block loss.

Technical information: For addon compatibility, bags must support IItemHandler working methods.
