Drogtor the Nickinator

Attention: The Drogtor mod is no longer supported by the developer and has been replaced by the PlaceholderAPI ecosystem, including the Styled Nicknames mod. It was created in early 1.16 versions when alternatives were unavailable. All mods from the PlaceholderAPI ecosystem significantly outperform Drogtor in functionality, and mods that previously worked only with Drogtor now support PlaceholderAPI.

Additionally, the mod has several bugs when used with other mods that modify player names and related data, such as the "Modder Modder" bug at ModFest: Singularity, and is incompatible with chat signing. It was designed for isolated use.

A port to versions 1.19.3 or 1.20 will not be released unless someone provides a corresponding merge request.

Main Features

This is a nickname mod. Use the /nick command followed by your desired nickname. To change name color, use the /color command with a color specification. 15 out of 16 standard Minecraft colors are supported (black is unavailable).

Important: Drogtor does not verify if the chosen nickname is already taken. It is assumed that you trust your players. This may change in the future.

To reset settings, execute the /nick or /color commands without arguments.

The mod works even when installed only on the server.
