Main Features

The main purpose of this mod is to free you from the need to carry dozens of different manuals and reference books. With Eccentric Tome, you can combine virtually unlimited books into one compact item, retrieving them as needed.

Crafting and Usage

To create the main tome, you'll need a regular book and a bookshelf arranged in the crafting grid.

To add new books to the tome, simply combine it with the desired editions in the crafting table.

Controls

Right-click while holding the tome opens the book selection menu

Shift + Right-click converts the tome into a book corresponding to the block you're looking at

Left-click on air returns the book back to the tome

Shift + Q with the active tome allows you to eject a book from the collection

Important Warnings

Single-use items added to the tome remain single-use!

If items that disappear or break when used (such as Tome of Helmets or Galactic Tome) are activated, Eccentric Tome will also disappear or break along with all books stored inside it.

Creation History

This mod was created in response to problems with the original Akashic Tome, which was released in a non-functional state for version 1.18.1. The developer was able to fix the main errors in just a few minutes, but his improvement suggestions were ignored by the original creators.

Eccentric Tome differs from its predecessor in that it's fully functional for Minecraft 1.18.1 and doesn't require installing the additional AutoRegLib library. Moreover, the mod is distributed under the LGPL license, allowing other developers to study and improve its code.
