Welcome to the world of Ecofriendly, a mod created by developers Redkoopa and Coda! This project aims to raise environmental awareness among players through innovative gameplay mechanics.

Pollution Control

The vanilla Minecraft world now features various environmental hazards: entangled fishing nets, oil spills, and trash littering beaches and forests. Every player can contribute to cleaning up the planet!

To combat oil spills, use special sorbent oil floaters and marine bacteria. Entangled nets can be cut using shears, and regular trash can be collected by hand.

Be careful around oil spills! To prevent slipping, enchant your boots with the "Slip Proof" enhancement - this enchantment is compatible with "Depth Strider".

Recycling and Eco-Friendly Alternatives

Collected trash can be repurposed. Tin cans can be smelted into iron, plastic bags transform into shredded plastic and reusable carrier bags, juice cartons allow milking goats and cows, while glass bottles can be recycled into glass and stained sea glass.

The mod offers environmentally friendly replacements for traditional materials:

• Mushskin - an alternative to regular leather made from brown mushrooms
• Shredded Plastic - used to craft concrete powder and recycled plastic planks
• Vertical Farming - a new cultivation system that requires no water thanks to built-in reservoirs

Energy Solutions

Distilled oil obtained through the oil distiller serves as efficient fuel, comparable in burn time to coal blocks. However, bacterial biofuel represents a more environmentally friendly alternative.

Marine bacteria - unique creatures crafted from seagrass, kelp, or sea pickles with a bucket. They actively break down oil spills, producing byproduct used to create biofuel.

In-Game Creatures

Real and Fictional Inhabitants

Kelpalos - kelp-coated cows found on beaches. When fed kelp, they may drop sucrose sponges.

Isopods - peaceful creatures that act as living bone meal. Using special feeders allows automating crop fertilization processes.

Vaquitas and Totoaba - critically endangered species inhabiting warm oceans. Both species frequently get caught in entangled nets.

Clouded Leopards - calm jungle dwellers that ignore players.

Pollutioners - hostile mobs attacking players and villagers with cans. They may drop rare items, including a music disc.

Recyclllagers - unique traders found on coastlines who exchange trash for emeralds.

Mata Matas - a special turtle species living in swamps and jungles.

Bosses and Their Minions

Polluttor King - a massive boss composed of garbage and oil, residing in abandoned oil rigs. Attacks in close and ranged combat, summons other hostile creatures.

Droning Drums - flying enemies that explode upon death.

Oil Zombies - zombie variants immune to slipping effects on oil spills.
