EditableSigns (Legacy)
Note: This project is now archived and will no longer be updated for newer Minecraft versions. Starting with version 1.20, the game developers have finally added this long-awaited functionality permanently!
This lightweight plugin allows editing signs by simply right-clicking. Several conditions must be met: the main hand must be empty, and no dyes should be held in the offhand. Additionally, editing is only available if you have permission to place blocks at that location (provided the BlockPlaceEvent is not canceled).
Access Settings
By default, all players can use the sign editing function. This is regulated by the editablesigns.use permission, which is initially set to true.
Administrators have access to the /editablesigns reload command, which requires the editablesigns.reload permission. As the name suggests, this command reloads the plugin configuration.
Compatibility
Although the plugin hasn't undergone full testing on all versions, it should theoretically work with Minecraft versions from 1.8 to 1.16.
