Ego Tools

This mod fundamentally transforms survival gameplay by introducing a tool leveling system. Your pickaxes, swords, and other tools can now evolve and become more powerful through regular use.

Simply perform the tool's primary function: mine blocks with pickaxes or defeat entities with swords - and watch experience accumulate. When a tool reaches a new level, it automatically gains a random enchantment compatible with its type and existing enhancements. The tool also becomes completely repaired, allowing continuous leveling without durability limitations.

Track your progress through two methods: tooltip information when hovering over the tool or a dedicated progress bar beneath the character's experience bar. While there are no theoretical limits on levels and enchantments, the required experience increases rapidly, maintaining balance and preventing superiority over other enhancement systems.

To preserve game balance, certain enchantments are excluded from random selection:

• Curse of Binding
• Curse of Vanishing
• Silk Touch

You can customize the blacklist according to your preferences or even convert it into a whitelist of permitted enchantments. The mod automatically supports tools from other modifications since it operates at the fundamental level of the game's base tools.
