Elytra Utilities (Fabric 1.16.5 - 1.19.2)

Starting from Minecraft 1.19.3, the main project page has been moved to a different platform. This page remains for archival purposes and to receive support updates for version 1.19.2 as needed.

Elytra Utilities is a lightweight client-side mod that adds small but useful comfort and accessibility improvements for elytra flights.

Important: this mod works only on the client side.

None of the functions provide players with additional abilities or gameplay advantages compared to vanilla Minecraft.

Main Features

Elytra Toggle

By assigning a special key (not set by default), players can disable and enable the possibility of elytra flights. When flights are disabled, a small broken elytra icon appears in the upper left corner of the screen, signaling deactivation. In the disabled mode, players cannot start flights using elytras. This function is especially useful for those who want to move and jump freely without worrying about accidental elytra activation during falls.

Quick Launch

By setting up a separate key (also not assigned by default), players can instantly launch elytra flight. Instead of the need to perform a double jump with specific timing to activate elytra from the ground, just one button press is enough. This makes flights more accessible for players experiencing difficulties with standard controls or preferring an alternative takeoff method.

Simple Firework Takeoff

When using the quick launch function, players can additionally hold the assigned button for half a second while holding at least one firework rocket. This will automatically make the character use the rocket for takeoff. The main advantage of this function is that the complex sequence of actions - double jump to activate elytra and subsequent use of a rocket for takeoff - is reduced to one long button press.

It's important to note that this function works only on the initial takeoff. Further use of firework rockets to maintain speed or altitude requires applying standard control methods.' style='white-space: pre-wrap;"># Elytra Utilities (Fabric 1.16.5 - 1.19.2)
