Eras of Arda: The First Age Legacy submod

Project Overview

The "First Age" submod has been in development since 2016 and has changed development teams several times over the years. The initial version was released in 2017 by PredatorFish following the closure of the "Second Age" server - his previous project dedicated to events of the Second Age.

Installation and Compatibility

The Minecraft 1.7.10 version operates as a standalone mod and does not require installation of the base LOTRMod. Moreover, simultaneous installation of the main mod will cause conflicts and crashes.

For player convenience, a special NEI extension developed by Malvagil is available, which significantly simplifies navigation through the mod's content.

Key Features

The mod completely reworks the game world, replacing Middle-earth with Beleriand - the legendary continent from the First Age of Arda. The remainder of the map is filled with ocean, allowing players to fully focus on events of this historical period.

Numerous new factions have been added, including both completely original ones and reworked versions of existing factions from the base mod. Players can join the elves of Doriath, men from Dor-lómin, orcs of Angband, and many other peoples.

Official Status

The "First Age" submod is one of the few projects that received official endorsement and permission from the LOTRMod development team. The original "First Age" team received modification rights in 2016, and the "Second Age" team received them later. Currently, both groups are united under the name "Eras of Arda".
