Eras of Arda: The Second Age Legacy submod

General Information

This is the final version of the "Second Age" submod for Minecraft 1.7.10. No further updates are planned for this game version. A remaster for version 1.16.5 may be considered after completion of the "First Age: Renewed Version" submod, though active development in this direction is not currently underway.

Installation

The version for Minecraft 1.7.10 operates independently and does not require installation of the base The Lord of the Rings mod. Simply load the latest version of the "Second Age" submod - it will function properly. Important to note that simultaneous installation with the base LOTRMod will cause game crashes.

Main Features

The "Second Age" submod offers a redesigned world map that transforms the standard Third Age map into landscapes corresponding to the Middle-earth Second Age period. This project was created significantly earlier than the "First Age" submod and is inferior in many aspects. Additionally, the modification is based on an outdated version of LOTRMod and will no longer be updated.

Additional Information

The "Second Age" submod is one of the few projects that received official approval and permission from the LOTRMod development team. The original "First Age" team (around 2016) received permission to modify the base mod, and then the "Second Age" team also obtained corresponding rights. Subsequently, both groups merged under the leadership of PredatorFish and now operate under the common name "Eras of Arda".
