Equipment Wards
Equipment Wards is a Forge mod that introduces special protective enchantments designed to safeguard equipment from specific damage sources. Losing valuable items upon death in Minecraft can be particularly frustrating, and built-in protection isn't always available.
Netherite weapons and armor are naturally resistant to fire and lava, but what about your trusted enchanted bow? Now your investments in its magical enhancement will not go to waste.
How to Obtain Protective Enchantments
To apply one of the protective effects to an item, you'll need to find a Ward Scroll and use it on an anvil in the same manner as regular enchanted books. These scrolls can be found in chests within various structures throughout the game world.
Protection Types and Their Effects
Three types of protective enchantments are implemented, each safeguarding against specific forms of destruction:
- Fire Ward: Makes items immune to fire and lava
- Lightning Ward: Prevents item destruction from lightning strikes in
- Destruction Ward: Protects from explosions and cactus contact
Scroll Locations
In most (but not all) overworld structures, you can occasionally find scrolls containing either destruction or lightning protection enchantments.
