Magical Origins for Your Minecraft
The Esoteric Origins modification presents a unique collection of seven magical origins that fundamentally change the gameplay. These origins were specifically designed for the Esoteric SMP modpack, where they play a key role in shaping the game's pace and atmosphere.
Seven Magical Origins
The mod is based on seven unique origins, each corresponding to a specific school of magic:
Spell Scribe - gains access to Akashic Archives with additional inventory
Hermetic - possesses the ability to transform into various animals
Bewitcher - can create portals to other dimensions
Diviner - has the gift of clairvoyance to detect entities
Medium - masters telekinesis to control objects
Botanist - skilled in creating golems
Crystal Guru - capable of releasing energy beams
Magic Schools
The system is based on seven classic schools of magic from Dungeons & Dragons:
Abjuration
Transmutation
Conjuration
Divination
Enchantment
Evocation
Illusion
Divine Blessings
Players can receive 11 different blessings from gods:
Ishtar - additional health
Poseidon - dolphin transformation
Visnu - absorption shield
Gilgamesh - extended reach and tax collection
Samson - battle rage
Trismegistus - reduced exhaustion
Zephyros - born in the Aether and slow falling
Lamassu - elytra gliding
Hekate - item magnet
Tyche - luck
Artemis - additional projectile damage
Curses of the Unfortunate
There are also 11 curses that can complicate the game:
Midas - turning surroundings into gold
Achilles - chance of death with every hit
Icarus - burning in the sun
Atlas - giant size
Gulliver - tiny size
Zaldrim - cursed mask
Damocles - double-edged sword
Circe - random transformation into a pig
Tiamat - slippery floors
Pandora - paranoia, phantoms every night, cannot sleep near chests
Hades - born in the Nether, double fire damage
Additional Features
The mod also includes special structures and a system for progressive discovery of items and blocks from other modifications, making the gameplay even more diverse and engaging.
