Essentia Brazier
This configurable mod adds to Minecraft a special vessel for burning essentia that gradually creates research curiosities for Thaumcraft. The main goal is to simplify and diversify the research process in the magic modification.
How It Works
The Brazier can use essentia from various sources: warded jars, phials, or crystals. When burning essentia, the device slowly generates research curiosities, each corresponding to a specific knowledge category:
- Arcane - Auromancy
- Preserved - Alchemy
- Ancient - Golemancy
- Eldritch - Eldritch
- Knowledge - Infusion
- Twisted - Artifice
Hovering the cursor over the burn indicator displays information about the operating time of the current essentia source, while the arrow shows current progress and remaining time. All essentia sources also show the number of additional burning seconds.
Additional Features
The mod also adds recipes for converting curiosities from one type to another, allowing you to cycle through them until you get the required research type.
Configuration
Main Parameters
- Default curiosity type - determines which curiosity is created by the brazier by default (0 corresponds to arcane)
- Total creation time - time in ticks (seconds × 20) required to create one curiosity (default 6000 - five minutes)
- Essentia per curiosity - amount of essentia required to create one curiosity
- Essentia bonus - complex essentia aspects add additional burning time proportional to their "level" of complexity
JEI Integration
The mod provides full integration with JEI. Viewing the use of the brazier, sources of configured curiosity, or essentia containers allows you to get all necessary information about burning time and bonus ticks for each essentia type.
Features
- The brazier unlocks quite early and requires only iron plates, a furnace, and arcane stone
- Excess curiosities that don't fit in the brazier are thrown into the world instead of being destroyed
- Empty essentia phials are also thrown into the world
- Currently, it's impossible to use void jars in the brazier
- Essentia phials are consumed in batches of 10, unlike crystals and jars
