Everything Descriptions

Remember the charming descriptions from the Enchantment Lore mod by the same developer? Now this functionality is available for absolutely all objects in Minecraft! Everything Descriptions allows you to add informational descriptions to blocks, items, and even mobs - literally everything in the game.

Have a question about how a mysterious mechanism works or what a rarely used game mechanic is for? Simply press the [i] key when looking at an object or holding it in your hands, and an informational tooltip will appear with a community-written description from our friendly Discord community.

The main idea of the mod is to become a useful guide that explains the less obvious features of Minecraft to players. The system is organized in such a way that you can add descriptions for absolutely any mob, block, or item through resource pack language files!

To add your own description, just insert the following line into any localization file:

"everydesc.[modid]:[block/item/mob]": "Your description!"

...and the mod will automatically create an information page readable by all players!

If you want the page to have a special background, complement the description with the corresponding line:

"everydesc.[modid]:[block/item/mob].bg": "[modid]/[name].png"

...and you're all set!
