Extra Coal
The Extra Coal modification brings back several types of coal and coke that were previously available in the outdated "Plugins for Forestry" mod for Minecraft version 1.5.2. This simple yet useful mod expands the game's fuel system capabilities.
Main Features
With Extra Coal, you can process cacti and sugar in a special oven to produce various types of coal. Although the produced fuel is less efficient than regular coal, its main advantage is the ease of automation and cultivation of raw materials.
The mod also adds coal tools that occupy an intermediate position between stone and iron tools in terms of their characteristics. An interesting feature of these tools is their flammability. If your character catches fire, coal tools in the inventory will gradually burn down.
Fuel Characteristics
- Cactus/Sugar Charcoal: 400 ticks (equivalent to 2 items)
- Cactus/Sugar Coke: 800 ticks (equivalent to 4 items)
- Normal Coal/Charcoal: 1600 ticks (equivalent to 8 items)
Charcoal blocks and coke blocks have increased efficiency compared to individual pieces.
Compatibility
The mod includes its own coke production oven but is also fully compatible with ovens from Railcraft and Immersive Engineering. When processing coal in RC and IE ovens, creosote oil is additionally produced.
All fuel types from the mod work with generators from popular mods including Thermal Expansion, EnderIO, IndustrialCraft 2 and Extra Utilities. Integration with the JEI recipe viewer is supported.
