FermiumASM
FermiumASM is a fork of the NormalASM project by skmedix, which in turn is an updated version of the fork by mirrorcult. Both of these projects are based on the original LoliASM/CensoredASM code by Rongmario and are distributed under the LGPLv2.1 license.
This mod introduces numerous improvements, optimizations, and bug fixes to Minecraft, including:
- Significant reduction in RAM usage, especially when using large modpacks
- Resolution of various crashes in the game itself, Forge, and other modifications
- Multiple performance enhancements
- Improved crash handling with the ability to directly upload crash reports to mclo.gs
Unlike previous NormalASM forks that primarily focused on rebranding and maintaining relevance, FermiumASM has implemented substantial functional changes:
- Completely refactored to work with FermiumBooter - an alternative loading system replacing the dependency on MixinBooter
- Removed the built-in Spark profiling system as it's incompatible and replaced by the more modern Spark Unforged solution
- Eliminated the possibility of randomly selecting an author to blame in crash reports
- Conducted a complete rebranding with updated authors and recognition of fork developers' contributions
Important: FermiumASM is incompatible with VanillaFix and TexFix, as their functionality has been integrated directly into the mod. Also, the mod now depends on FermiumBooter instead of MixinBooter.
The mod has been tested in active modpacks and fully replaces previous versions and the original mod. If you encounter any issues, please report them through the FermiumASM issue tracker, not the original mod's tracker.
