Introduction to File Director

File Director is a fork and continuation of the ModDirector project. This tool is specifically designed for modpack developers and aims to greatly simplify the update process, providing a smooth and hassle-free working experience. With it, you can download files directly from the internet into your modpack instance!

How is File Director different from ModDirector?

• Restored ability to download mods from CurseForge
• Bulk downloading of multiple files simultaneously through a single configuration file bundle.json instead of creating separate url.json or curse.json for each mod
• Extraction of entire .zip archives instead of downloading individual files
• Forced file updates
• File renaming during download
• Remote modpack version checking
• Ability to leave custom comment comments in .json files with information about the downloaded content
