Automatic Bite Notification

The Fish On The Line mod provides a convenient solution for fishing in Minecraft, allowing you to not constantly focus on the fishing rod. Simply hold a bell in your offhand while fishing - as soon as a fish bites the hook, a characteristic sound will play. This gives you the opportunity to do other things and react only to the signal.

Compatibility and Requirements

For the mod to work, the library mod Collective (Fabric) and Fabric API are required. This version is intended for Fabric 1.16 and 1.17 - for newer versions and Forge, please refer to the main project page.

The mod works well with Recast and Village Bell Recipe mods, expanding fishing and crafting possibilities.

Configuration

The mod supports configuration through a settings file. The main parameter mustHoldBellInOffhand (default = true) determines whether the bell must be held in the offhand for the sound signal to trigger.
