Flat EXP Costs

This fully configurable modification changes the experience consumption system when enchanting items and using the anvil. Regardless of your current level, operation costs will amount to the same number of experience points. The mod removes Minecraft's built-in penalty for leveling up, where at high levels more EXP is required to perform the same actions as at low levels.

Main Features

The modification offers two operating modes that can be configured through the configuration file. The first mode calculates experience consumption as if you were at the minimum required level for the operation. For example, level 30 enchanting will always cost 306 experience points, even if you have reached a much higher level.

The second mode allows you to set a fixed cost for one level. This means that any operation will deduct the same amount of EXP regardless of complexity or your current level.

Configuration

You can configure the mod directly in-game or by editing the JSON file config/consistentexpcost.json in your profile folder.

• use_minimal_exp_cost - if set to true, experience cost will be calculated based on the minimum required level. If false, the cost will be based on the value below
• set_level_cost - amount of experience that will be deducted for each level in the original cost
