Flight Mod

A Fabric mod that introduces a hunger-based flight system for survival mode. Can also be used solely on the client side for creative flight adjustments.

Important: flight is available only in singleplayer unless the mod is also installed on the server.

Main Features

Flight requires constant hunger consumption: expended per flight tick, per meter of horizontal movement, and per meter of upward ascent. When hunger level drops to a critical value, a warning message appears. Unlike creative mode, the player is no longer immune to fall damage.

Environmental restrictions: cannot fly in water and lava, as well as in blocks that slow movement - cobwebs, sweet berry bushes, and powder snow.

Client Improvements

Modified flight movement system: when looking above or below a certain angle, 3D flight is activated, making it easier to land on narrow surfaces. Inertia compensation during sideways movement while flying forward allows for sharp turns.

Additional hotkeys: pressing space while falling enables flight, while Shift+Space disables it.

Movement Modes

• Vanilla - disabled
• Vanilla vertical - vertical speed capped at vanilla values
• Full speed - flight at maximum speed in any direction (may be considered an unfair advantage by some servers)

Client improvements are available in multiplayer but disabled by default. Settings are stored per server.
