Fluid Physics [Forge]

The Fluid Physics mod harmoniously combines the standard fluid mechanics of Minecraft with realistic elements and some additional features.

The modification only affects vertical fluid flow - when moving downward, the fluid source will move along with the flow. Horizontal distribution remains traditional. This approach is specifically chosen to maintain familiar gameplay without making the physics overly complex. If you need a more realistic simulator, check out similar mods in the section below.

A Fabric version is also available.

Main Features

• Liquid sources can move downstream
• Elimination of the ability to create infinite water sources (though they can still be created using Spring source blocks)
• Pistons are capable of pumping liquids
• Spring blocks generate under natural springs and prevent them from flowing downward
• Rain replenishes lakes and oceans (similar to infinite sources in the standard game)
• Compatibility with regular Minecraft clients (requires setting spring/block in configuration to a standard block like 'mossy_cobblestone')

Technical Requirements

The mod requires: Minecraft Forge, Scalable Cat's Force, and on version 1.15.2 MixinBootstrap is also required.

Known Issues

• In some situations, liquids may stop flowing (exactly why glass block is used in the demo video to slow down water entering the sandstone tank)
• On version 1.16.5, conflicts were found when used simultaneously with ForgeEndertech and Optifine or GraalVM. It is recommended to update Optifine to version G8 or use another Java runtime environment.
