The mod comes in two variants:

• (Dev) - Developer version with "blank" books. Designed for those who want to fully customize the mod to their needs. Refer to the project documentation for creating custom books.

• (PnP) - Plug-and-play version. Contains ready-made recipes for vanilla and modded enchantments. Perfect for players who want to use the functionality immediately and for modpacks that don't require fine-tuning of all enchantments.

Focused Books is a standalone expansion for the Pedestals mod that adds special books focused on specific enchantments to the game.

How it works

Focused books can be crafted. When you use such a book on an enchanting table, it will only accept the specific enchantment indicated by its focus.

For example, a book focused on "Silk Touch" will always give you a book with that exact enchantment when enchanted at the appropriate level.

Getting started

To create focused books, you'll need to craft a Focus. It's made by surrounding an eye of ender with glass.

With Foci and regular books, you can combine them with other items in shapeless crafting to create focused books. All available recipes can be viewed through JEI.

Features

This is a simple but very useful mod that significantly improves the enchanting process in Minecraft.

Important notes:

• After enchanting a focused book, it transforms into a regular enchanted book when placed in the player's inventory. The book may end up in a different inventory slot during this process.
• In automated enchanting systems, conversion to an enchanted book only occurs when the item is in the player's inventory or dropped on the ground. Before conversion, focused books cannot be used in anvils.

All vanilla enchantments are supported in this version of the mod. Future updates plan to add support for enchantments from other mods!
