Fortune Shears - Enhanced Shears with Luck
Transform ordinary shears into a powerful tool with the Fortune enchantment! You can now apply this spell to shears using an anvil and an enchanted book to significantly increase the loot from shearing various mobs.
This feature works with sheep of all colors, red and brown mooshrooms, as well as bogged skeletons. In Minecraft versions 1.21.9 and above, you'll also be able to harvest more honeycombs from beehives and bee nests. Particularly convenient is that enchanted shears work in dispensers too, making automatic sheep shearing and honeycomb farms even more productive!
Important to note: this datapack only affects loot from shearing live sheep, not wool dropped from killing them with Fortune enchantment.
Effectiveness of Fortune III Enchantment
- Sheep: 2-6 wool blocks (sometimes even more) instead of the standard 1-3
- Mooshrooms: 10-15 mushrooms instead of the usual 5
- Bogged Skeletons: up to 6 mushrooms (red or brown) instead of the standard 2
- Beehives and Bee Nests: 3-6 honeycombs instead of the usual 3 (only in versions 1.21.9+, as loot tables are hardcoded in earlier versions)
