FOUP

The FOUP modification introduces an innovative overhead rail system where special carts transport items in FOUP containers (Front Opening Unified Pods) between different stations. At stations, items can be loaded into or unloaded from containers when connected to a FOUP loader, or entire containers can be moved to storage through the FOUP storage interface. Each cart operates according to an individual schedule that determines the travel route and operations performed at stations.
