Foxglove Comics Emoji
An unofficial Minecraft mod that adds support for Foxglove Comics Discord emojis directly into the in-game chat.
Required Dependencies
For the mod to work, you need to install:
- Fabric API
- Cloth Config
Main Features
The mod allows displaying all emojis from the Foxglove Comics collection (as of the mod version release) directly in the in-game chat. Standard Discord emojis are also supported and can be disabled through the configuration file. The chat features auto-completion functionality - when typing an emoji name, the system suggests suitable options.
How to Use
Working with emojis works similarly to Discord:
- Open the in-game chat
- Type a colon
: - Start typing the emoji name (for example,
foxglovehype) - Press TAB to get suggestions (for example, when typing
:foxgloveand pressing TAB, all emojis with this prefix will be displayed) - Finish typing with a second colon (example:
:foxglovehype:) - Press Enter to send
Features and Limitations
- Only the Foxglove Comics server chat bridge (#minecraft) can display these emojis in Discord. Other servers don't support this function as it's a custom development by server owner Gunny.
- Animated emojis are displayed as static images (only the first frame is shown)
- The auto-completion system requires exact input from the beginning of the emoji name (for example,
hypewon't suggest thefoxglovehypeoption)
Troubleshooting
If Foxglove Comics emojis don't display in chat or appear as unicode characters, make sure the default Minecraft resource pack is first in your resource pack list (can be configured through the game menu or by editing the options.txt file).
When using the Player Heads mod, you might notice offset tooltips when hovering over emojis or their complete absence.
