The Frozen Fiend mod brings the ice mage from the 2020 mob vote back to Minecraft version 1.12.2.
This project is based on the excellent work of the_infamous_1 and his Ice Ice Baby mod for version 1.16. I adapted the source code for compatibility with the older game version.
What the mod adds
Ice Mage
This hostile villager has the unique ability to create ice blocks that float above the target for several seconds before crashing to the ground, dealing significant damage. The ice mage spawns in the following biomes:
- Ice plains
- Ice spikes (mutated ice plains)
- Extreme hills and their variants
- Cold taiga (and its variants)
- Frozen ocean
- Frozen river
- Cold beach
- Any modded biomes with snowy weather
Ice Wand
This unique item allows players to create their own ice blocks. The wand sometimes drops when killing an ice mage. The item has a limited durability - only 64 uses, so use it wisely.
