Gemulation - Extension for Silent's Gems

This mod is an add-on for Silent's Gems by SilentChaos512 and requires it to function. The LIT (Little Insignificant Things) mod is also needed as a library.

Gem Furnaces

The mod adds unique furnaces for each of the 32 basic gems in the game. Each furnace has special characteristics corresponding to the properties of its gem. Crafting requires an improved furnace from LIT or a vanilla furnace placed in the center of the crafting grid with identical gems above and below.

Furnaces can store excess fuel, eliminating the need for constant refueling. Additionally, they consume exactly the amount of fuel needed to smelt one item - no more coal waste on single operations!

Gem furnace characteristics:

• Time reduction multiplier - reduces smelting time (e.g., 0.5 factor halves the time)
• Fuel bonus multiplier - increases fuel burning efficiency
• Upgrade slots - determines the number of possible upgrades
• Fuel capacity - shows how much excess fuel the furnace can store

Furnace Upgrade System

Each furnace has a specific number of upgrade slots. Recipes can be viewed in JEI. To install an upgrade, sneak and right-click on a furnace with available slots. The chat will display a message about free slots. Three upgrade types are available: smelting speed, fuel efficiency, and fuel capacity.

Upgrades take effect only for the next item after installation.

Gem Chests

Standard Chests

• Each of the 32 basic gems has its own chest
• Crafted from a vanilla chest with gems above and below
• Stores 54 item slots

Supercharged Chests

• Created from a standard gem chest with two supercharged gems
• Has double the capacity

Chest contents are preserved when broken and used in crafting recipes.

Gem Transmutation Device

Tired of having too many of some gems and not enough of others? The Transmutation Device solves this problem! It operates on chaos energy from nearby passive sources (see Silent's Gems) and allows transforming gems of one type into another.

The process is completely random - after all, it uses chaos energy! Transforming one gem requires 2000 chaos energy units and 5 seconds. The device cannot turn a gem into the same type and doesn't convert light gems to dark ones.

If a target gem is placed in the special slot, the device will continue transformations until the desired type is obtained. Thanks to the built-in attempt tracking system, you're guaranteed to get the target gem in at most 42 attempts!

Shinies Bags

• Crafted from a glow rose and wool (add netherrack for dark version)
• Each bag can store up to a stack of each gem type
• Gems automatically go into the bag if it's not in the main hand
• Right-clicking the bag in main hand opens access to contents
• Sneak-using on a chest transfers gems from bag to chest
• Sneak-using without target fills the bag with gems from inventory
• Bags can be recolored while preserving contents
