Gilded Doom

Trade System Overhaul

This mod completely transforms the piglin trading system, making it truly useful in the game. Some worthless trades have been removed or redesigned into more valuable ones, plus the ability to obtain netherite in rare cases during trading has been added. A new weapon - the Ancient Hammer - has been introduced to the loot pool, which we will discuss later.

Golden Tomes

These magical books allow you to perform certain actions under established conditions.

Brutal Tome - When attacking while holding a golden axe in your main hand and the tome in your off-hand, gain Resistance 1 and Strength 1.

Withering Tome - While holding grants the Wither effect for 5 seconds, constantly refreshing. If the tome is in your off-hand and you're using a stone sword, your attacks also inflict Wither but with double the duration.

Immunity Tome - While in your off-hand, has a chance to protect you from Death's Mark. Right-click provides the Gilded Immunity effect for 30 seconds with a 3-minute cooldown.

Tracking Tome - Used to track players in the same world when you have an item with an attached or bound soul in your main hand.

Cleansing Tome - Cures Pending Death, has different enchantments for different levels. Warning: you will receive a curse that applies a debuff when taking damage (25% chance to trigger), scaling depending on what type of Pending Death was removed.

Weapons

All hammers support special enchantments that we will describe later.

Iron Hammer

• Efficiency comparable to netherite pickaxe.
• Lower damage compared to other hammers.
• Ideal for early and mid-game stages before obtaining Ancient Hammer.

Ancient Hammer

• Obtained through piglin trading or expert weaponsmith villagers.
• Attack pulls mobs to the ground (similar to knockback but with enhanced gravity), not applying fall damage unless they are very high up.
• Mining magma blocks has 1% chance to drop Infernal Scrap.
• With Torrent enchantment: right-click brings you to the ground if you're airborne; if you're on the ground, creates a shockwave that launches everyone within range upward, and if you're not sneaking, everyone (including you) takes one heart of true damage.

Hellforged Hammer

• 25% chance to ignite the target for 20 seconds.
• Creates Fiery Aura while holding.

Soulforged Hammer

• Created by smithing Hellforged Hammer with soul sand.
• Ignites target for 8 seconds.
• 25% chance to inflict Weakness for 5 seconds.
• Creates Soul Fiery Aura while holding.

Enchantment Changes

• Torrent applies Levitation 2, duration depending on target's health, scaling down when their health is low.
• Fortitude works with dual effects.
• Knockout increases Weakness chance from 25% to 50%.

Gilded Banisher (Without Ultimate Power)

• Compatible with Brutal Tome.
• Mining gilded blackstone has 5% chance to drop Gilded Ingot.
• Essentially a netherite pickaxe with gold efficiency.
• While crouching, performs Ancient Hammer slam (requires Torrent).
• 25% chance to inflict Slowness 2 for a short time.
• 5% chance to inflict Gilded Stasis for 2 seconds.

Special Enchantments

Knockout - Has chance to inflict Blindness when attacking, duration scales with target's health.

Fortitude - When attacking at low health, you gain Resistance and Slowness.

Torrent - Launches entities into the air when attacking.

Gilded Brute Armor

• Helmet - While sneaking grants Invisibility.
• Chestplate - Built-in Thorns III with slightly reduced damage.
• Leggings - No additional effects.
• Boots - No additional effects.
• Full set - Upgrades Strength 1 and Resistance 1 to level 2 with 25% duration loss.

Effects

The Echofall Experience

Named after severe lag on a particular server. This effect randomly halts your momentum, simulating lag.

Gilded Stasis

Acts like cobweb but as an effect. Additionally, forces you to stay on the ground (preventing kick for flying).

Death's Mark

Prerequisite for activating deadly mechanics.

Gilded Immunity

Removes Death's Mark and Gilded Stasis when applied.

Gilded Banishment

Dealer Score System

If you have 1 score in this system, you gain access to everything required for Dealer status.

Right-clicking the Book of Gilded Banishment gives you 1 Dealer score.

Gilded Contract

Allows anyone to kill whoever's name is written in the contract (including themselves). Also serves as a way for Dealers to obtain Ultimate Power.

In depth: First right-click warns that your soul will be controlled by the contract. Second click engraves your soul into the contract. As a Dealer, you can cycle through power levels via crouching selection through the contract's tags.

Banishment Effects

Ultimate Power - Allows hit effects to work for Gilded Banisher.

Death's Mark - Prerequisite for Pending Death.

Pending Death - Essentially a time bomb that guarantees your demise after the timer expires. Dying before the timer expires also triggers the bomb. In the Ultimate Power version, killing someone with Pending Death engraves their soul into whatever item you killed them with.
