Global Packs - Global Data and Resource Packs
This mod is a convenient tool for modpack creators, working from Minecraft version 1.13 and above. It solves an important problem related to the need to copy datapacks into each separate world.
The main function of the mod is the ability to define global data and resource packs that will be available in all worlds. In newer versions, there is also an option to specify whether these packs are required or optional for loading.
Starting from version 1.16, the mod allows forced enabling of resource packs, which is especially useful for ensuring visual consistency in modpacks.
How to Use
After installing the mod and running the game for the first time, a new configuration file will appear in the "config" folder. In this file, you can specify either folders or specific files that should be treated as datapacks or resource packs.
In recent versions, you need to create these folders yourself, while in older versions they were generated automatically. The default configuration supports loading datapacks from the resource packs folder and uses the following standard folders (it is recommended to check the current settings in your configuration file, as they may differ depending on the version):
• global_packs/required_data
• global_packs/optional_data
• global_packs/required_resources
