GodBirdReborn
Supplementary content for SlashBlade, introducing a unique bladed weapon
This add-on draws inspiration from the legendary mythical bird Bi Fang, described in the ancient Chinese text "Classic of Mountains and Seas". The weapon's creators preserved the connection to the source material while slightly altering traditional attributes.
Historical context and deviation from canon An interesting detail worth noting: in its original form in the "Classic of Mountains and Seas", Bi Fang appears as a fire elemental being. However, in later works such as "Huainanzi", mention appears that "from wood Bi Fang is born". In this version of the add-on, poetic license allowed using the wood element and natural motifs as the basis rather than fire from the original source material.
Legend of craftsmanship and sacrifice Ancient legend tells of a great blacksmith who reached the pinnacle of craftsmanship in metalworking. To create a weapon of truly divine level, he dared to take a bold step—steal a feather from the sacred Bi Fang bird and weave its spirit into the steel of the future blade.
This attempt to ascend to the level of gods did not go unnoticed—the heavens erupted in anger, unleashing enraged lightning bolts upon the daring soul. Seeing his years-long work about to turn to dust, the blacksmith chose the path of sacrifice: he shielded the unfinished blade with his own body, taking upon himself all the power of celestial punishment.
Gathering his last strength, the master used the elemental strike for the final touches to the forging. At that moment, his work achieved completion—the spirit of Bi Fang inhabited the steel, and the echo of the first hammer strikes became an extended bird's cry ringing for seven days and seven nights. The creator himself disappeared, turning to dust, while the location of his creation became lost through the ages.
Special Art: "Sky-Rending" Execute an attack with lightning-fast forward dash, dealing damage to all enemies along the path. During the attack duration (short-term beneficial effects activate): increased damage, reduced incoming damage, natural health regeneration and enhanced movement speed. The action becomes accompanied with a sharp bird's cry.
