GregTech 6 Unofficial
This mod represents an unofficial but officially approved continuation of GregTech 6 development. The project is being developed by the GT6U-Team, which continues to improve the original mod's technology chains and adds new practical equipment.
Main Innovations
The mod significantly expands chemical industry capabilities by adding dozens of new fluids for more complete development of organic chemistry. Chromite processing has been completely reworked, and new materials have appeared: PVC, PTFE, epoxy resin and their derivatives (pipes, storage tanks).
Players now have access to various large industrial installations: large roasting furnaces, industrial coke ovens, large dryers, cracking units, particle colliders, photolithography units, large high-temperature mixers, and much more.
Developers haven't forgotten about compact equipment either: added circuit assembly machine, fluid curing machine, laser cutter, electric autoclave, high-temperature mixer.
The electronics industry has also undergone some changes, and nuclear reactors can now be cooled with distilled water, adding variety to gameplay.
Upgrading from GT6 to GT6U
Transition from official GT6 to GT6U is done by simply replacing the jar file. However, some features should be considered:
- Distillation columns and cryogenic distillation units will require reconfiguration according to tooltips in the main block interfaces
- Fusion reactor now uses LU for startup and EU for maintaining operation
- Some recipes have been changed, so when experiencing equipment operation issues, it's recommended to check NEI
Additional Materials
Available are OmniOcular scripts providing additional information about in-game objects, as well as Chinese localization maintained by the community.
