Had Enough Characters
Had Enough Characters is the equivalent of Just Enough Characters, specifically adapted for use with Had Enough Items.
IMPORTANT: Starting from version 1.4.0, Had Enough Characters requires Just Enough Characters (Jech) to function.
Main Features
This mod significantly simplifies element search for players using Chinese language. You can now search for items and blocks using pinyin - the romanization system for Chinese characters. Various input formats are supported: full pinyin, consonants only, or their combinations. At the same time, standard English search remains fully functional.
Data Handling and Compatibility
The mod automatically loads online databases for maximum compatibility with various modifications. Synchronized information becomes active only after restarting the game. Typically, two consecutive Minecraft launches are required to apply updates.
When there is no internet connection, the module uses either the built-in list or the most recently successfully synchronized data version.
Support for Various Input Methods
In versions for Minecraft 1.12 and newer, support for phonetic input (Zhuyin) through the "Daqian" (大千键盘) layout has been added. To activate this function, you need to switch to the corresponding keyboard in settings.
It is recommended to enable the 'EnableForceQuote' option in the configuration file - this helps avoid conflicts between JEI's word separation algorithm and the peculiarities of the phonetic input method.
Important: The phonetic input function is in testing stage and may work unstably.
Support and Feedback
Since the mod actively interacts with content from other modifications, updates to those mods may disrupt compatibility. If you encounter any problems or need support for specific mods, please use the error reporting system.
For effective problem resolution, it is recommended to use the "/hech profile" command to create a client report and attach it to the error message.
Technical Details
Versions before 3.0.0 used the pinyin4j library for converting characters to pinyin. Starting from version 3.0.0, a custom processor is used with phonetic data from the "Earth Pinyin" (地球拼音) project.
