Hazard Diamond
Hazards in the Minecraft World
The NFPA 704 standard, developed by the National Fire Protection Association, is widely known as the "Hazard Diamond" or "Fire Diamond". This visual warning system helps quickly identify potential risks of various substances.
🔥 Real-life Examples
### Propane (C₃H₈) Despite its high flammability, propane is actively used for household purposes - for grills and portable stoves. Pay attention to the additional health risk information in the blue section.

The Globally Harmonized System of Classification and Labelling of Chemicals (GHS) uses intuitive pictograms to indicate various types of chemical hazards.
💠 GHS Examples
### Ethanol (C₂H₅OH) Ethanol is a common but potentially dangerous chemical substance. This huge container warns about the substance's harmfulness both during long-term exposure and short-term contact, as well as its flammability.

Although the C₂H₆O formula is also acceptable for ethanol, the author prefers the "OH" version to emphasize the separation of the hydroxyl group from the main structure.
Gameplay
Craft a Hazard Diamond item using dyes for each diamond sector and an iron ingot in the center. Place the hazard diamond in the world like a regular item.
❗ Important: Like item frames, Hazard Diamond are entities. You can place multiple diamonds in one block.
A placed hazard diamond can be edited. Get close to the diamond and interact with it to open the editing screen:
- Click on any of the four main sectors to scroll through available display options. Colored sectors have values from 0 to 4, while the white sector offers several special symbols.
- GHS pictograms are displayed below the main diamond. Click on a pictogram to toggle it on or off.
🔔 Tip: Successful diamond editing is accompanied by a hammering sound effect.
After finishing editing, crouch and interact with the entity while holding honeycombs to secure the changes.
In this state, interacting with the entity will open the same screen but in immutable mode.
With WTHIT mod installed, you can also view hazard information in tooltips.
Library Features
Hazard Diamond is primarily a library mod. It allows users to create and display hazard information both with and without code. Through the API, it's possible to open editable screens on the client side - similar to the placeable entity - and track made changes.
Check the documentation for information on setting up and using various development features provided by the mod.
