Head in the Clouds: Weather Depends on Altitude
The mod can be used either client-only or in client + server combination.
Visual Changes
When you rise above the cloud level, the weather around you becomes sunny and clear, regardless of what's happening below.
Game Mechanics
On the server side, all actions that depend on rainy weather stop working above the clouds. This includes:
- Extinguishing when on fire
- Using tridents with the "Riptide" effect
- Accelerated crop growth
Since Minecraft servers don't have information about cloud height, you'll need to specify this parameter in the configuration file.
Due to the specifics of rain rendering in Minecraft, when you're above the clouds, you won't see the rain falling below.
