HephaesTools

This data pack introduces a collection of advanced tools that fundamentally change the approach to resource gathering in the game. With these tools, you can fell entire trees with a single strike, harvest crops with a simple right-click, and mine blocks in entire sections.

Hammer

Hammer

This tool functions like a pickaxe but with much greater efficiency - it allows mining blocks in a 3x3 area. The Netherite hammer extends this capability to a three-dimensional 3x3x3 space. An interesting feature: if you hold an Ender Pearl in your off-hand, stone won't drop when mined. A heredity system is also implemented - when mining harder blocks (such as obsidian), softer blocks are automatically mined as well, but not vice versa.

Excavator

Excavator

Works like a shovel but digs a 3x3 area. The diamond excavator additionally mines all sand and gravel above the excavation site. The Netherite version extends the area of effect to 3x3x3 and also processes all sand and gravel blocks above.

Lumberjack Axe

Lumberjack Axe

This tool allows felling entire trees in one go. If you hold any hoe or shears in your off-hand, that tool will be used to break leaves.

Vein Miner

Vein Miner here

A specialized tool for mining entire ore veins. Diamond and Netherite versions temporarily illuminate the mined ore. As with the hammer, a heredity system works here - when mining harder ore (such as Ancient Debris), softer ore is automatically mined as well.

Sickle

Vein Miner here

Simplifies harvesting - just press the right mouse button. The diamond sickle harvests crops in a 3x3 area, while the Netherite version extends the zone to 5x5.

Features and Mechanics

All tools except the sickle consume a small amount of food when used. The hammer and vein miner slightly slow down the player when held in hand. All tools support standard enchantments, with one exception: due to game limitations, you cannot apply the Fortune enchantment to a sickle in the usual way - for this, you need to throw the sickle and an enchantment book with Fortune on an anvil.
