Hivecraft: An Alternia Addon for Minestuck
Discover the World of Alternia
This mod is entirely dedicated to adding the planet Alternia - the homeworld of the Trolls from the Homestuck universe - to Minecraft. You'll gain access to a completely new dimension with diverse biomes, unique building materials, a system for growing rare food items, and several new mobs.
Alternia's Biomes
Oracle Canopy A cool forest with tall blue trees, familiar to Homestuck fans as the location of Terezi's hive.
Bramble Forest A gloomy forest with dry, thorny trees. Wood from this biome is necessary for creating insect nests. This is also home to Cat Lusi - friendly creatures that can be tamed with grubs and used as horses without saddles.
Rocky Plains and Plateau These territories, modeled after the landscape around Vriska and Equius's hives, are inhabited by Spider Lusi. These large spiders can become your guardians, but be careful - they're extremely territorial and don't tolerate other lusi nearby.
Unique Features
Recuperacoons Set your respawn point on Alternia by building a recuperacoon from grubs and sopor slime. Simply right-click the core of the recuperacoon while in sopor slime.
Cobalt A new metal for upgrading diamond equipment as an alternative to Netherite. Characteristics are identical to Netherite but don't require a smithing template. Creating cobalt equipment requires two ingots instead of one.
Solar Danger Daylight can damage your eyesight, so stay indoors during bright lighting! If blinded by the sun, craft eye drops from salt and water to restore your vision.
Food System
Bug Nests Craft from bramble wood and dirt, bait with rotten flesh or special insect food to get a reliable food source.
Grubs and Grub Nests Find grub nests in Alternia's forests. Place insect food in nests to eventually get new grubs.
Hemospectrum Dyes Collect flowers in different Alternia biomes and create 12 new dyes matching hemospectrum colors for coloring hiveglass and lusus wool blocks.
Technical Details
The mod was created using MCreator and is the author's first project. Some textures are modified versions of standard Minecraft and Minestuck textures to maintain stylistic consistency.
