HWYLF - Smart Item Search in Inventories

HWYLF is a utility mod that significantly simplifies finding needed items in surrounding containers. Instead of manually checking every chest or inventory, you can instantly locate what you're looking for.

Main Search Features

Item search is available through several convenient methods. Hover over an item and press the hotkey (default V) - the system will automatically scan a 7x7 block area around the player and highlight the outlines of all containers containing that item. If you're outside an inventory, pressing the same key will clear the current search and remove all highlights.

An alternative option is using the search bar in the player's inventory. Additional functions are available here: scrolling with the mouse wheel to navigate through entered text and right-clicking to quickly clear the search field.

Visual Design

When the desired item is detected, the container is highlighted with a wireframe that exactly matches its shape. When you open such an inventory, all items except the one being searched for become semi-transparent and gray, allowing you to instantly focus on the target.

Client settings allow personalization of the appearance: you can change the highlight color and wireframe line thickness according to your preferences.
