Insects and Arachnids
Discover the amazing world of insects and arachnids in Minecraft! This mod fills the game with various arthropods that bring familiar biomes to life and add new gameplay mechanics.
What Awaits You
Currently, the mod includes two types of insects: mantises and monarch butterflies. But this is just the beginning - future updates will bring many other species of insects and arachnids that will make the Minecraft world even more diverse and interesting.
New Mechanic: Essence Extraction
One of the key features of the mod is the essence extraction system. Using a special essence extractor, you can obtain unique abilities by catching butterflies.
Currently, only monarch essence is available, which gives the strength effect for 2 minutes. This is excellent support for difficult battles or when gathering resources.
How to Get Butterflies
The process of obtaining butterflies consists of several stages:
- First, you need to craft a bug net
- Find butterfly eggs on trees in forest and plain biomes
- Break the egg to get a caterpillar (currently only monarch butterfly caterpillar is available)
- Place the caterpillar on any block and wait 5 minutes
- The caterpillar will turn into a cocoon
- Break the cocoon to spawn a monarch butterfly
- Kill the butterfly with a bug net in hand to catch it
