Item Pets
Your Faithful Companions in the Minecraft World
The Item Pets mod adds unique pets to the game that follow you and provide assistance in combat. These unusual companions are created from various items and possess special abilities.
How to Use Pets
To summon a pet, simply right-click with the pet item in your hand. You can change the pet's appearance by clicking on it with any other item. To retrieve the pet, use an empty hand. Setting the item tames the pet, and using dyes allows you to change the color of its name.
Special Pet Abilities
Each pet has unique abilities depending on the equipped item:
- Regular Weapons: Help attack enemies with damage from items and sword enchantments
- Bows: Fire arrows at enemies like skeletons
- Enchanted Books: Set nearby mobs on fire
- TNT: Attack enemies with explosions on impact
- Shears: Automatically shear nearby sheep
- Potions: Throw potions like witches
- Tridents: Shoot tridents like drowned
- Beds: Increase speed by 15 times at night
- Effect Potions: Randomly apply effects to the owner
- Chorus Fruit: Teleport the owner when health is low
- Fire Charges: Shoot blaze fireballs
- Crossbows: Pierce through enemies
- Food: Automatically eat food (long cooldown)
- Arrows: Convert all owner's arrows to the selected type
- Fermented Spider Eye: Apply poison on melee hits
- Milk Bucket: Remove harmful effects
