The Item Upgrades mod fundamentally transforms the Minecraft gameplay experience by adding six new ores based on real chemical elements. These valuable resources are scattered across special biomes and are used to create powerful equipment enhancements. You can endow weapons with elemental effects, boost the protective properties of armor, and mine resources faster and more efficiently than ever before.

Element Features

Lithium: Speed and electricity! Create lightweight gear that shocks enemies and ignites them. Found high in the mountains.

Titanium: Strength and resilience. Craft ultra-durable tools and armor capable of withstanding the toughest challenges. Located deep in caves.

Carbon: Pure power. Unlock maximum durability and critical damage enhancements for equipment. Found at diamond-level depths.

Uranium: Risk and reward. Use radioactive energy to create poisonous attacks and glowing protective gear. Found in lush caves and swamps.

Cobalt: Fireproof and fearless. Perfect for surviving the fiery trials of the Nether. Located near lava in the Nether.

Platinum: Rare and valuable. Craft luxurious equipment resistant to environmental hazards. Found underground near rivers.

How It Works

Exploration and Mining: Discover each ore in specific biomes and at specific heights—from mountain peaks to the fiery depths of the Nether.

Crafting and Refining: Use specialized workstations to smelt and purify ores into finished components like ingots or crystals.

Gear Enhancement: Combine ores with unique materials like Blaze Powder, Ender Pearls, and Glowstone to create powerful item upgrades.

Progressive Gameplay: Unlock new recipes as you explore, ensuring rewarding development from early to late game stages.

Game Statistics

Ore Rarity: Balanced spawn rates provide a pleasant mining experience. For example, Lithium appears in 2-3 veins per chunk with 5-8 ores each, while rarer ores like Platinum spawn in smaller groups.

Biomes and Depths: Each ore is tied to a specific biome and height level—from mountains at Y120+ (Lithium) to lava lakes in the Nether at depth Y0-20 (Cobalt).

Visual Effects: Glowing ores like Uranium stand out in caves, while others add immersive particles like sparks or static electricity.
