It's Poppin'!

Welcome to the world of explosive fun with the It's Poppin'! mod. This project was specially developed for ModFest: Singularity and adds an exciting popcorn-making mechanic to Minecraft 1.19.2 on the Quilt platform.

Main Features

In savanna villages, you can now find a new agricultural crop - corn. After harvesting, you can turn it into real popcorn! To do this, simply throw the kernels into fire or lava - they will instantly start exploding, turning into a delicious treat.

Corn kernels come in bunches of four and can stack up to 256 units in one inventory slot. Finished popcorn can be collected in bowls, which hold up to 16 servings.

Cooking Features

But the real magic begins when you add special popcorn salts! Create them by right-clicking on a cauldron of milk that has a potion added to it beforehand. Each such salt will give your popcorn a special potion effect, making the snack not only tasty but also useful for adventures.

Combat Application

For tactics enthusiasts and those who love unconventional solutions, the mod offers molotov poptails - a throwable weapon created from an unpopped corn cob, a fire charge, and a glass bottle. Upon impact, this weapon deals damage, sets enemies on fire, and scatters popcorn kernels around.

If you have the Kahur mod installed in your modpack, you'll be able to shoot poptails from this weapon, opening up new tactical possibilities.
