Jagm's Kiwis

This mod was created as a gift for a friend who moved to New Zealand. After refinement, I decided to share it with the community. It was inspired by the Cute Kiwi Birds mod by Lordloss_, which hasn't been updated since version 1.16. All code and assets are original developments.

Main Features

Charming kiwi birds appear in the Minecraft world, primarily inhabiting forest biomes. These feathered creatures exhibit interesting behavioral traits: they periodically dig in the ground searching for various items. Among their findings can be seeds, berries, and sometimes even gold and iron nuggets. The loot system is configurable through data packs.

Kiwi birds can be bred using seeds as bait. They lay eggs that function similarly to chicken eggs. If for some reason a bird dies, it leaves behind kiwifruit - a juicy fruit that can be eaten or used to prepare an exquisite pavlova dessert.

A special feature of the mod is the rare appearance of laser kiwis instead of regular ones - be cautious when encountering them! It's also worth remembering that these birds, like in real life, are vulnerable to predators, so keep domestic cats away from them.

Technical Details

The mod is compatible with major loaders: Forge, NeoForge, and Fabric. The developer permits the use of the mod in modpacks. Source code and issue tracking system are available on GitHub. For communication with the author, social networks can be used.
