JoinJail
The JoinJail modification is designed to create a password-protected server. We encountered problems with the whitelist functioning in Minecraft's offline mode, which led to the development of this mod.
When installed, JoinJail creates a sturdy bedrock prison located far from the spawn point. Players spawn inside this cell when joining the server. The only way to leave the prison is to enter the set password. Even if a player dies within the prison, they are instantly returned upon respawning.
How to Use
When connecting to a server with this modification, players must enter the password using the command:
/joinjail
After entering the /joinjail command with the correct password, the player is added to the whitelist and receives permanent server access.
Available Commands
/joinjail setPassword- sets a new password for the server/joinjail ban <player> <reason>- bans the selected player with the specified reason. The ban can be lifted using the standard/pardoncommand
Configuration
In the Minecraft configuration folder, a separate JoinJail directory is created containing two files:
- whitelistfile.txt - contains the list of players added to the whitelist
- password.txt - stores the established password for server access"
