This mod completely blocks the loading of Forge modifications - it does NOT allow using Forge and Quilt mods together!
Before launching saves where Forge mods were previously used, be sure to create backup copies. All blocks and items added by these modifications will disappear from the world.
JumpQuilt
JumpQuilt is a special mod that enables the use of Quilt modifications in CurseForge modpacks. It works by loading Quilt similarly to how a Forge mod does. The project is a fork of the popular Jumploader, which performed a similar function for Fabric until CurseForge added built-in support for Fabric.
It's important to note that the mod only activates when the game is launched through Forge/ModLauncher. If your Minecraft launcher already supports Quilt directly, JumpQuilt will not perform any actions.
Main Features
- Completely replaces Forge with Quilt when launching the game through a Forge installation
- Automatically loads the latest version of Fabric loader for the current game version without requiring manual configuration
- When necessary, loads the original, unmodified version of Minecraft for proper Quilt operation
- Ensures that Quilt and Mixin do not interact with classes loaded through ModLauncher
Limitations
- JumpQuilt does NOT allow simultaneous use of Quilt and Forge mods - it completely intercepts the launch process, preventing Forge from loading
- If you need compatibility between Forge and Quilt mods in the same environment, pay attention to the Patchwork project, which specifically addresses this task
System Requirements
Operation requires a version of Forge that uses ModLauncher (or ModLauncher itself without Forge). Typically, this means Minecraft versions 1.13 and newer.
Updating Quilt Loader
JumpQuilt automatically installs the latest version of Quilt loader during the first game launch, but does not update it further to avoid compatibility issues with existing modpacks. If you want to change the loader version, edit the pinQuiltLoaderVersion parameter in the jumpquilt.json configuration file, specifying the desired version.
