Legacy Resource Fixer
This mod is outdated and no longer required, as modern Minecraft launchers, including the vanilla one, handle its functions automatically. Installation may only result in slower game startup.

Mod Purpose
Legacy Resource Fixer was designed as a compact solution for automatically downloading missing game resources directly from Mojang's servers. It was particularly useful for older Minecraft versions lacking environment files, textures, or sounds. For Beta releases, the mod also restored original sound effects and enabled the game to use them correctly.
Compatibility Limitations
The mod is incompatible with MultiMC — this launcher independently downloads resources through its own system. When installed in a MultiMC instance, Legacy Resource Fixer only adds unnecessary console messages without any practical benefit. Note that the resource download process may take three to five minutes on some systems during the first launch, but no startup delays occur after completion.
Supported Versions
Legacy Resource Fixer worked in all game versions from Beta 1.4 to Release 1.5.2 inclusive — wherever Risugami's ModLoader could run. If Beta versions were missing from your library, their installation files were available in the "additional files" section of the mod's latest release.
Installation Instructions
Important: the mod requires Risugami's ModLoader. Compatible with Forge and most third-party modifications.
— For Minecraft 1.3.1–1.5.2, place the .jar file in the mods folder.
— For Beta 1.4–1.2.5, extract the archive and add the contents to client.jar (or minecraft.jar — depending on the launcher). Note that for versions 1.2.4 and older, Forge requires ModLoader.
