About This Mod

This version represents an adaptation for Fabric of a mod originally created for Forge. Despite the name, this modification allows dogs that have been sitting in one place for too long to actually lie down and rest.

How It Works

When a pet remains in a sitting position for a configurable amount of time and the owner is far away, the dog lies down to rest in a random pose. As soon as the owner approaches their four-legged friend, it joyfully jumps up and returns to a sitting position!

Technical Requirements

The mod requires Fabric, Fabric API, and Cloth Config to function. It is completely client-side and does not require installation on the server.

Configuration

Dogs Spawn Lying Down - determines whether dogs will appear in the world already lying down if they were sitting when entering the world.

Enabled Poses - by default, all poses are activated with randomization of approximately 50 different combinations of lying dog positions.

Dogs Get Up For - setting determines for whom dogs get up from lying position back to sitting position.

Range for Getting Up - the radius at which the target must be located for the dog to get up.

Time Before Lying Down - the period that must pass before the dog lies down.

Support for Modded Wolves - attempt to add model support for wolves from other modifications.
