An Origins Addon - Libra
Libra is a unique addition to the Origins mod that fundamentally changes gameplay by adding a karma system and the ability to influence other players.
Core Features
Libra is an origin that exists in three different forms depending on your in-game actions:
- Good Form: You become tanky and lucky but deal less damage. Perfect for team support.
- Balanced Form: A versatile option with protection against overpowered origins.
- Evil Form: A powerful fighter with increased damage and speed but more vulnerable.
Your form changes based on your actions. Helping others and defeating hostile creatures increases your karma, while killing passive animals or cursing players makes you more evil.
Unique Abilities
Blessing Other Players
Libra can enhance standard origins, turning them into more powerful versions. To do this, use a stick while holding the Shift key. Each origin receives unique improvements:
- Arachnid: Poisonous bites and reverse knockback against enemies
- Avian: Enhanced gliding and creating golden nuggets from eggs
- Blazeborn: Increased damage to burning targets and improved lava vision
- Elytrian: Steel wings that slice through enemies
- Enderian: Rage mode with random teleportations
- Feline: Attack evasion and multiple extra lives
- Human: Monster hunter with increased damage to hostile creatures
- Merling: Storm summoning and whirlpool creation
- Phantom: Complete immunity to fall damage
- Shulk: Shell protection that weakens attackers
- Canine: Pack control and wolf upgrades
Curses
Using a blaze rod, Libra can apply random curses to other players. Each curse adds unique disadvantages:
- Enderian's Curse: Random teleportations with nausea
- Blazeborn's Curse: Damage from water while keeping water breathing
- Feline's Curse: Inability to mine stone without strength effect
- And many others
Community and Additional Features
The mod includes numerous curses and blessings suggested by the community, as well as special items - tablets that allow effect management.
For single-player, the Chrysalis system allows Libra to transform into any of the enhanced origins.
Compatibility
Fully compatible with Pello's Origins Overhaul datapack with additional interactions. A datapack version is available for servers.
