Lightroot

Lightroot is a compact quality-of-life mod that introduces a new biome to the Nether called Infernal Caverns. This location serves as a hellish version of the author's other mod, Glowroot.

Within the Infernal Caverns, players will discover a completely new gaming experience that brings a peaceful atmosphere to the hellish realms of the Nether. Large clusters of glowing vines hang from the ceiling, while various beautiful flowers emitting soft light are scattered throughout the cave. Here, you can also find massive fossils similar to those found in Soul Sand Valleys.

One of the key discoveries in these caves are large deposits of a new crystal — Infernoprase. This unique mineral, resembling the embodiment of summer and light, can be both mined and crafted. From Infernoprase, various functional items are manufactured, including the Infernoprase Light, which works like a flashlight, and the Fireball, which creates powerful fiery explosions when thrown.

The biome is inhabited by two new peaceful mobs: the Infernal Sheep and the Infernoprase Extant. The Infernal Sheep drops wool from its straw hat, which can replace regular wool due to its fire resistance and glowing properties. This wool can also be used to create a new hat. The Extant can be ridden for movement through the caves, although it cannot be controlled. Upon death, this mob drops a block of Infernoprase.

The mod also adds new building blocks made from Lightroot stone and Infernoprase. There is the possibility to combine various blocks with Infernoprase to create unique variants, including special glass and other decorative elements.
